Come learn the game everyone is talking about! Join New England Mahj Co. at Taste by Spellbound in South Windsor for a welcoming Mahjong 101 experience designed for complete beginners—no experience needed.
Weather permitting, we’ll gather outdoors in Taste’s beautiful garden for an afternoon of mahjong, connection, and something sweet. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, you’ll receive a refund and we will reschedule on another day.
During this beginner-friendly lesson, you’ll learn:
Tile identification and setup
How to read the NMJL card
The Charleston
The basics of game play
How to begin building a winning hand
Guided play with instructor support
Your experience also includes a $10 Taste by Spellbound voucher to use toward a drink and a treat.
All mahjong sets and supplies are provided. Bring your 2026 NMJL card if you have one—we’ll have extras available to borrow. Plan on arriving 10 minutes early, as the lesson will begin on time.
