Come learn the game everyone is talking about! Join New England Mahj Co. at Taste by Spellbound in South Windsor for a welcoming Mahjong 101 experience designed for complete beginners—no experience needed.

Weather permitting, we’ll play outdoors in Taste’s beautiful garden. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the fun indoors.

During this beginner-friendly lesson, you’ll learn:

• Tile identification and setup

• How to read the NMJL card

• The Charleston

• The basics of game play

• How to begin building a winning hand

• Guided play with instructor support

All mahjong sets and supplies are provided. Bring your 2026 NMJL card if you have one—we’ll have extras available to borrow.
